During my time in the Fashion Marketing and Management program at Fanshawe College, I had the opportunity to design and create a series of marketing displays, using shadow boxes as the primary medium. These projects challenged me to think outside the box and apply creative marketing strategies to showcase products in visually engaging ways.
For each display, I worked with different themes and brands, such as creating a Summer flat lay using Garage clothing and a shadow box for a fall display in collaboration with Aritzia. My final project involved crafting a holiday season display for Saje Wellness, where I incorporated wellness products and seasonal elements to create an inviting, festive vibe. For my other displays we were instructed for each one to use a certain product for example, something you would find in your tool kit (ruler), A pair of trending shoes (Nike Panda Dunk), Trending Makeup (Summer Fridays), Your Favourite drink (Coffee) and Lastly " A blast from the past (type Writer).
Each display required a unique slogan and accompanying signage, which helped me understand the importance of clear communication in marketing. I also learned valuable technical skills, such as using vinyl for signage, incorporating S/C clips to hang products, and creating appealing, organized arrangements that caught the viewer's attention. Through these projects, I gained a deeper understanding of how to market products effectively, create cohesive displays, and engage with a target audience while enhancing the visual appeal of the brand.
